SMLSC’S Nipper program is open to children between 5 and 14. Our Nipper program is a great introduction to Surf Life Saving -providing your child with key water safety skills, the opportunity to make new friends & be active in a fun and safe beach environment!

Nipper Education Program – 2018/2019 Season
**DUE TO DELAYS WITH THE INSTALLATION OF OUR TEMPORARY SITE FACILITIES DURING OUR REDEVELOPMENT OUR NIPPER PROGRAM WILL NOW COMMENCE ON THE 20TH OF NOVEMBER 2018**
The Nipper Program will commence on Tuesday 20 November and conclude mid-March 2019. There will be a break in the program over Christmas/New Year.
Nipper Preliminary Swims: Under 6 to Under 14 age groups
- Sunday 11th November – Nipper Prelim Swim Assessment – MSAC 11.00am to 1.00pm
Nippers should ensure that they have goggles and swim caps if needed.
Nipper Parents: Nipper enrolments are accepted only on the basis of a Family Membership and parents are required to commit to helping several times during the season. Information about how to register for your role and dates will be out shortly.
Working with Children Checks:
REMINDER: All parents who come to the Club are required to obtain a Working With Children Check before the start of the Nipper program. WWCC is a requirement for all members 18 years and over. There are NO exceptions to this requirement. As SMLSC is a volunteer organisation members are able to apply for a VOLUNTEER WWCC, meaning there is no cost transferred to the individual. If you hold a valid EMPLOYEE WWCC, no volunteer check is required.
